Info Holdup?#285

Throughout the process of learning about and prepping for pro tour, many of us have been interested in what was actually causing the delays we have seen. There are two questions:

What caused this holdup?
How will this be prevented for future events?

Holding until we were confident was a deliberate call, and the right one. There were (and are) moving pieces - sponsor conversations, distribution discussions, internal decisions - that need to land before we can publish anything we’d stand behind. Putting out information and then having to revise it would have created more problems than the wait did.
That said, we hear the planning concern and we take it seriously. Builders need lead time and we want to give it to you, but on the other hand, we’re building this as we go, and that means some things will move slower than everyone would like - including us. What we can commit to is being straight with you when we have something to say, and not putting out information before we can stand behind it. As things become more established, we will work on more consistent communication cadence.
