Will finals have wildcards?#284

Due to the lack of drop-down qualification this year, we’ll likely see similar bots at the top of an event. This will decrease the total number of qualifiers. Will wildcards be added to increase the field size to a rounder number like regular pro-league events?

The World Championship structure, including wildcards, will be shaped by what we learn from the Pro Tour events leading up to it. We expect the field to fill via registrations, but we’re also building a new tier of the sport in real time, and we need to run a few Pro Tour events before we can know what’s best. What we can say is that the field at World Champs will be the most competitive we can make it.
